Hardware Engineer (m/f) Validation Autonomous Driving

Hit the road to ALTEN Engineering and develop the next generation of control units for autonomous driving. Currently, we are looking for engineers who work both interdisciplinarily and across locations. Those are supposed to undertake the software and hardware development as well as the system engineering for the control units of the driver assistance systems required for this.


  • As a Hardware Engineer (m/f)  you are responsible for testing new control units for driving assistant systems in the automotive environment, such as e.g. spacers, lane assistants or parking systems
  • In doing so, you control the prototypes on deviations and, if necessary, search for errors
  • Before testing and implementing the control units, you program, flash and debug them
  • Moreover, you hold hardware tests according to Boundary Scan
  • Besides, you support the designing of the test setups and test environment


  • You hold a degree in electrical engineering or in any comparable degree program
  • In addition, you have good knowledge of digital high-speed circuits, common processors and memory systems
  • You gained experience in analyzing circuit diagrams and are able to deal with NI tools like LabView or TestStand, additional knowledge of Linux is of advantage
  • Good German and English complete your profile
